This limited-edition release, only 1,300 helmets worldwide, is created to celebrate the legendary racing career of John McGuinness MBE one of the most iconic and respected riders in the history of motorcycle racing.

Each helmet will feature an exclusive commemorative gold plate along with an
individually serialized limited-edition number on both the helmet and the gold plate,
making every piece truly collectible.

KYT Americas is also proud to include a special limited-edition John McGuinness MBE
trading card for customer purchasing the helmet in the United States. The exclusive
trading card will be produced in a very limited quantity and available only while supplies
last.

The KX-1 Race GP Replica puts KYT's top race helmet in its riders' colors. Each helmet is the same FIM-homologated KX-1 Race GP, designed and developed in Italy, with a tri-composite shell of carbon, fiberglass and aramid in three shell sizes. The metal-alloy Racing Lock System visor takes a Pinlock Max Vision 120 insert, and the helmet is certified to DOT FMVSS 218 and ECE 22.06.

Designed and developed in Italy with the most advanced digital tools, the KX-1 helmet has undergone rigorous testing by Ducati Corse Factory rider Enea Bastianini to ensure it can perform at the pinnacle of the sport. It boasts industry-leading aerodynamics for reduced drag and peak race performance thanks to over three years of wind tunnel and track testing to optimize aerodynamics in various riding positions and lean angles. The KX-1 boasts enhanced peripheral field of view (92 deg and 210 deg) for unobstructed vision, and meets the highest FIM Standard. The interior of the KX-1 features a liner that has been expertly crafted with premium materials that lead in form and function.

SHELL

The shell is made of TRICOMPOSITE fiber, a new composite that provides a lighter shell but at the same time harder and more protective.

The new composite is a mixture of carbon with different weight/breaking loads linked up with aramid resins that ensure a light shell but much more resistant to impacts.

The KX-1 RACE is produced in three different shells: S,M and L.

PROTECTIVE POLYSTYRENE

Internal polystyrene liner (EPS) in four sizes (S, M, L and XL) to obtain a better ergonomics and a variable density. This characteristic allows a gradual and progressive absorption of the power produced by the impact.

Even if the majority of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the external shell, thanks to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is crucial for the absorption of the residual energy.

Varying densities of the polystyrene allows optimization of the mechanical performance of the shell-polystyrene, ensuring the maximum level of absorption in all areas of the helmet.

VISOR

The visor is PC injected, antiscratch, with variable thickness. Easy to remove. The release lever is made of a particular metal alloy that gives greater structure and positive closure to the assembly. The visor is also equipped with a “Racing Lock System” in metal alloy. The mechanism reduces the possibility of detachment in case of crash. KX-1 RACE visors are prepared for racing tear off.

PINLOCK

KX-1 RACE is compatible with PINLOCK® MAX VISION 120, the highest performing antifog system in the market.

VENTILATION

It is during the hottest Grands Prix that the most is asked from the rider, requiring concentration and endurance. Being able to count on efficient ventilation makes all the difference.

KX-1 RACE includes seven air intake ducts which work in conjunction with a neatly integrated channel system, guaranteeing excellent airflow inside the helmet.

The hot air extraction is a marvel of aerodynamics: two submerged air extractors, working together with the rear spoiler create a Venturi effect over the exhaust ports, draw out the hot air.

INNERS

The cheek pads and the internal comfort liner can be removed, washed and replaced.

They are made of premium fabric with specific fibers that offers the following features:

• Wicks away sweat from the head

• Keeps fresh and dry

• Light fabric, soft and breathable

Cheek pads are customizable and easily removable in case of emergency thanks to the quick release system.

KX-1 RACE is prepared for the camel-bag hydration system (not included).

RETENTION SYSTEM

The chin strap is uses a double D-ring retention system enabling an easy release and secure system.
